Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump and Compressor

The principle of the rotary vane compressor is based on a cylindrical rotor turning on two rolling bearings arranged eccentrically in the base, assembled on either side of the body of the machine, called the stator.

This mechanism consists of a crescent-shaped chamber: the compression chamber.

The vanes made out of a composite material slide freely in the radial grooves of the rotor and, when the mechanism is set in rotation, they are applied by centrifugal force against the inner surface of the stator. As the mechanism rotates, these vanes create volume-reducing cavities thereby creating the necessary compression.

Gas is drawn in through ports in the stator, on the part where the volume is increasing, and discharged through other ports located in an area where the volume is decreasing to a minimum.

– Constant output
– Low pressure pulsation
– Low vibration
– High yields
– Low maintenance costs
– Insensitivity to aggressive gases

Easy of use
and maintenance
The rotary vane compressor can be started up under load, with no special procedure required. Since the rotation speed is significantly lower than the first critical speed, costly vibration control does not need to be used. Since there is no surge risk, an output control system is not needed.
Volumetric operation ensures a practically constant output even if the operating conditions vary.

Blowers
In order to provide a full range of products, in the 60's MPR added two rotatives technologies to the vanes : thez side channel and the rotating piston. Reserved to low pressure application they are very aprecied because of the oil free compression and the very low cost.

Vacuum - Pumps
Working on the same principle as compressor the MPR vacuum pumps are widely used on hard processes in the primary range of vacuum (up to 0,01 mbar).

These machines may be available in complete sets with One, Two or Three stages.
The range of generated volume is from 10 to 10 000 m3/h.

Compressors
Rotary Vane Compressors
MPR lubricated vane compressors for gas processes have a sealing system that protects the bearing and guarantees reliability. The lubrication of the vanes means they can handle severe operating conditions and also temporary exceptional conditions, without affecting reliability.
The oil reduces the wear of the vanes and protects the walls of the cylinder from corrosion. It also protects against wear caused by the presence of any solid particles or corrosive gases.

Capacity :
A wide range of capacity is available from 10 to 6 000 m3/h. The strong mechanical design let us provide machines with a compression ratio up to 4 per stage and delivery pressure of 20 bars (fuel gas boosting for gas Turbines).
