Rotating piston boosters and vacuum pump
”Roots” type rotating piston boosters are volumetric machines in which 2 rotors with two or three lobes turn in opposite directions. With each rotation, the lobes of the rotors enclose a volume of gas which then comes out again through the discharge channel into a resistant circuit which in turn generates the delivery pressure. The lobes are adjusted with small tolerances and small operating allowances thanks to synchronisation gears.
