Side Channel Blowers
Lateral channel machines are part of the family of dynamic compressors that increase the pressure of gases transported by increasing the kinetic energy of the fluid. This increase in energy is achieved by the pulser pump, a large diameter bladed wheel.
The blades are arranged around the wheel and are displaced in a channel lateral to the pulser.
In this way, the channel acts like a diffuser, transforming speed into pressure.
As the gas passes through the wheel many times, this type of machine is capable of creating significant pressure ratios with very small outputs. The operating arrangement of these machines is mechanically very simple.
Previously considered rustic and inefficient, MPR can build these mechanisms on particular specifications and achieve performances comparable to centrifugal compressors :
5 000 m3/h of capacity, 60% of adiabatic efficiency, up to 1,8 of pressure ration per stage.
